Jules Sherman graduated with honors from the Industrial Design Department at the Rhode Island School of Design. She has since been designing fashion and home accessories for major retailers and manufacturers.

Yosifa Penina products only use pvc that is 100% lead and nickel free. Inspiration for the barrettes came from a combination of interests in this material and a love of illustration, pattern and color.
